Nerve roots need to be protected if they are within the surgical field and this retractor is designed to do just that. This retractor is uniquely designed with a rounded ribbed handle for gripping from which extends a narrow neck piece that has a hook shape at the tip. Additionally this instrument is available in either a straight or angled profile making it suitable for reaching and retraction in any position.
